Your shop data stays your shop data.
MadeMetric processes information to provide seller intelligence, operate and secure the service, and understand app usage and the effectiveness of our outreach.
Information we process
When you connect Etsy, MadeMetric processes shop profile information, listings, orders, transaction details, fees, and the cost information you choose to add. If you use Listing Studio, we process the product photo, listing context, scene instructions, and generated images needed to provide that feature. We also process basic account, device, subscription, and diagnostic information needed to provide and secure the service. If you apply for the pilot, we process the name, email, Etsy shop URL, shop profile, testing devices, goals, and notes you submit.
How information is used
We use this information to calculate shop metrics, estimate profit, generate seller insights, deliver requested notifications, support subscriptions, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability. MadeMetric does not sell personal information or shop data.
MadeMetric iOS app analytics
The iOS app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand app usage and measure MadeMetric app-acquisition campaigns through a linked Google Ads account. Analytics collects an app-instance identifier, Apple's identifier for vendor (IDFV), app and device information, approximate location derived from masked network IP information, and automatic app events such as first opens, sessions, screen views, and engagement. Supported App Store purchase and subscription events may also include the MadeMetric product and price. These are purchases of MadeMetric products, not your Etsy sales or orders.
MadeMetric uses an Analytics package without access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not set a Google Analytics user ID or send your MadeMetric account identifier, Etsy credentials, shop records, buyer information, or seller-entered content to Google Analytics. Personalized advertising is disabled. The app-instance identifier still lets Analytics associate activity from the same installation; this data should not be treated as anonymous. Google processes Analytics data as described in its privacy policy.
MadeMetric website analytics
MadeMetric records privacy-limited first-party website events needed to understand whether pilot outreach is working: the page reached, anonymous session, time, campaign tags, referring source, pilot-form start, and saved application. Advertising click identifiers are irreversibly hashed before server storage. We do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics record, and the analytics record does not contain Etsy credentials, buyer information, order contents, or the answers entered into the pilot form. Anonymous session information is stored only for the current browser tab.
Optional website measurement
On the MadeMetric website, we ask before loading Meta and Google Ads measurement technology. If you allow it, these providers may receive page visits, pilot-application events, browser and device information, the referring page, and identifiers used to measure whether our outreach is effective. We do not send Etsy credentials, shop records, buyer information, order contents, or the information entered into the pilot form to Meta or Google Ads. You may decline without losing access to the website and can change your choice using the Privacy choices control.
Security and service providers
Etsy credentials and service sessions are protected in transit and stored using encryption. MadeMetric uses infrastructure, notification, artificial-intelligence, and payment providers to deliver the service, and the analytics and measurement providers described above to understand usage and outreach. AI analysis uses aggregate shop signals; buyer names, buyer email addresses, shipping addresses, and raw order contents are excluded. Listing Studio sends the product photo and the scene instructions you provide to our artificial-intelligence provider to create the requested image. Apple processes App Store subscription purchases under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Retention and your choices
We retain information while your MadeMetric account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. You can disconnect Etsy or permanently delete your MadeMetric account and associated data from inside the app. You may also request access or correction by contacting privacy@mademetric.com.
Firebase app analytics is stored separately from your MadeMetric account and is subject to our Google Analytics retention settings. Deleting your MadeMetric account does not automatically delete historical Google Analytics data or aggregated reports. Contact privacy@mademetric.com for requests concerning app analytics.
